How do I check sag?

A - There are two sag measurements that need to be taken, the first is static sag and then race sag. To take a static sag measurement you must place the motorcycle on a stand so as both wheels are off the ground, then pick two points on the motorcycle (normally the muffler and the end of swingarm). Take this measurement and write it down, remove the bike from the stand pushing up and down on the suspension to let it settle, take a measurement from the same two points on the motorcycle and write it down. If you subtract the second measurement from the first you will have your static sag ( usually 30-40 mm). Then you need to sit on your bike with all your riding gear on, get someone else to take a measurement from the same two points and write it down, subtract this measurement from the first measurement and you will have your race sag (usally 100-110mm)

What do my "clickers" do ?

A - The clickers or high/low speed compression and rebound adjusters control oil flow in the fork and shock. If you you screw the adjuster in it slows and firms the action of fork and shock, if you screw the adjuster out it quickens and softens the action of the fork and shock.

How do I centralise the front axle and when to do it?

A - When ever you remove the front wheel you need to centralise the axle, to do this you simply tighten your axle nut as normal but leave the pinch bolts loose. Take the bike off the stand and push forks up and down several times, this lets the forks centralise on the axle. Now tighten pinch bolts to torque and your done.

When does my suspension need servicing?

A - The oil breaks down with heat and wearing parts inside your suspension, to keep your suspension feeling and performing as good as new it needs servicing every 20 - 30 hrs!!!!!
